You can now ask brands to fund your marketing efforts on their behalf
If you promote brands with high-consideration products and services — such as B2B software — you know that some products can require in-depth promotional effort. For instance, you may be able to drive incredible results through events or targeted campaigns… but things like that require you to set aside budget that you may not always have.
Marketing Development Funds (MDF) give you an easy way to request funding for those promotional efforts, so you can do what you need to do to drive results. Maybe you’ve identified a tradeshow that will have a lot of high-value attendees and you want to co-sponsor a booth with your brand partner — but you’re out of budget for the quarter. Or maybe you want to run an educational webinar, but don’t have the funds to make it happen. In either case, Marketing Development Funds give you the ability present the opportunity to your brands, who can then choose whether to fund the promotion.
This feature is currently available to everyone, but it’s not enabled by default. If you want to start using it, tell your brand partners that you’re interested in it! They can then ask their CSM to enable to feature for their program. Once they’ve got it turned on, you can submit a request by navigating to Content > Requests, and selecting “Marketing Development Funds”.
